According to a new report, Marvel may be rolling out the West Coast Avengers for its upcoming Vision TV show starring Paul Bettany.

Marvel Studiosā€™ WandaVision may well be the best Marvel Cinematic Universe TV weā€™ve yet seen, despite being the first small screen series to further the overall Marvel story. Others have come and gone with varying degrees of success, but few have felt as essential as WandaVision ā€“ a show that, to date, has left several plot threads hanging which have yet to be resolved.

One of them ā€“ the fate of Agatha Harkness ā€“ will be answered in just a couple of weeks when spin-off show Agatha All Along arrives on Disney+. The trailer for that series materialised only the other day. But then thereā€™s the character of Vision, as played by Paul Bettany. We havenā€™t seen the lovable MCU android since the events of WandaVision, but we do know that a show is also in the works that will follow his further adventures as the newly-minted ā€˜White Vision.ā€™

Daniel RPK (via Dark Horizons) has popped up to make a few claims about the direction will take, and heā€™s suggesting that it might feature more than a few appearances from other Marvel characters. “I hear this show will have elements from the ‘West [Coast] Avengers’ run and might even have members of that team in the series,” Daniel RPK writes.

The West Coast Avengers are exactly that: a version of the team that operates on Americaā€™s West Coast and who have historically featured low-key players compared to the big time players in Earthā€™s Mightiest Heroes.

As it stands, characters that already exist in the MCU who have served as West Coast Avengers in the comics include Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Wonder Man (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), Mockingbird (Linda Cardellini), U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell), Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). Could we see the Vision show turn into some sort of small screen team-up story? If Marvel can pull it off while keeping Vision at the core of the show, itā€™s a potentially enticing prospect.

Whether that means that weā€™ll be getting a Great Lakes Avengers adaptation at some point, who knows? The comedy version of the team were always a fun read and at some point in the future, could it happen? Weā€™d love to see an animated take on the GLA, but in the meantime, weā€™ll settle for some West Coast Avengers. As of yet, there are no production details regarding the Vision show. When we hear of anything, weā€™ll let you know.
