The upcoming spin-off from Marvel’s WandaVision, Agatha All Along, will arrive next month. Here’s the latest trailer to prove it.

NB: A spoiler for WandaVision follows if you haven’t seen it yet.

Marvel Studios continues to churn out plenty of TV series to supplement its ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s an argument to be made that it hasn’t yet topped the quality of its first attempt: Matt Shakman’s excellent WandaVision from 2021.

Fans of that show will have a chance to see part of its story continued in the upcoming Agatha All Along, starring the excellent Kathryn Hahn in the role of Agatha Harkness, the character who featured to memorable effect in WandaVision.

Here’s the plot for the upcoming series:

The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after the suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven and set off down, down, down The Road.

The cast also includes Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone and Aubrey Plaza.

Wandavision lead writer Jac Schaeffer created the series (said to be “really scary,” according to Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum), serves as showrunner and also directed the pilot episode.

The next two Marvel television shows will be animated – Eyes Of Wakanda and Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man – before Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, and Dominique Thorne will reprise her role as Riri Williams/Ironheart from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in Ironheart, both of which will be released in 2025.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along will be released on Disney+ on 18th September. Here’s hoping that Hahn (alongside the always excellent Aubrey Plaza) can recapture some of that WandaVision magic.
