Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 will be available to watch at home on digital from 7th April while a physical media release has been confirmed for May.
Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 has been in UK cinemas for roughly a month now and has proven to be a bit of a financial disappointment for Warner Bros. The film failed to make an impact at the box office, and the studio sent the film to digital after less than a month in cinemas in the US.
Thankfully, Warner Bros’ UK arm kept the film in cinemas for a bit longer here, but if you’re keen on watching it in your pants at home, we have good news to share.
Mickey 17 will be available to rent and buy digitally from the 7th April. If you’re more of a physical media person, you can get the film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray and DVD on the 28th May.
The latest āBong hitā tells the story of Mickey Barnes, who signs up to work as an Expendable on a space mission. He really should have read the job description, because Mickeyās new job is to die over and over again while completing the rubbish, highly dangerous jobs no one else wants to.
Our own Ryan Lambie described the film as “a midnight-black, broad satire” that feels “surprisingly British in its tone” in his four-star review of the film. You can read the rest of his thoughts here.
Here are the extras for the 4K and Blu-ray releases:
Behind the Lens: Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 (11:32)
Mickey 17: A World Reimagined (9:44)
The Faces of Niflheim (8:00)
We’ll leave you with the film’s trailer.
