John Krasinski will be back to direct A Quiet Place Part III which will hit cinemas in 2027. More on that below.

A Quiet Place has been a very exciting, not to mention profitable, franchise. John Krasinski’s directorial debut came out of nowhere in 2018 and surprised audiences with its highly tense atmosphere and aliens with acute hearing. A Quiet Place Part II followed in 2021 and was also positively received.

Paramount Pictures is now moving ahead with A Quiet Place 3, known as A Quiet Place Part III because roman numerals make the series look all serious and posh (thanks, The Hollywood Reporter). John Krasinski will return to helm the next instalment in the franchise he started in 2018 and the third part will premiere on 9th July, 2027. A spin-off film, A Quiet Place: Day One was released in 2024 and also turned a profit, making Paramount very confident in the franchise (as they should be – every Quiet Place so far has been a banger).

A Quiet Place Part III has been in the works for some time now. Rumours of a third film have been circulating ever since A Quiet Place Part II premiered and at one point, the film was even announced to come out in 2025, but never moved past development. We reported in March that a third film was once again being planned, but was waiting on Krasinski to be done with his new Jack Ryan film. Clearly, his schedule has now freed up enough to allow for the third film to move forward properly.

There’s currently no word whether the story will follow Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds’ characters who were last seen in A Quiet Place Part II in 2021. Without any spoilers, that film left the family slightly less helpless against the alien ne’er-do-wells than they were at the start…

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on more news on A Quiet Place Part III.
