Jungle Cruise will be releasing simultaneously on Disney+ Premier as well as in cinemas it was announced today.
Disney has announced today that the Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt adventure film Jungle Cruise will be debuting both in cinemas and on Disney+ Premier.
The studio has been taking a varied approach to itās film releases with a number of high profile Pixar animations going straight to the streaming platform (Soul, Luca) for free, whilst others only Premier Access (Mulan) and now some with a hybrid approach (Black Widow).
The film is inspired by the Disney theme park attraction that guides riders through a fake jungle river to meet various creatures along the way. Itās not the first time Disney have taken inspiration from their rides and the studio are hoping for another Pirates Of The Caribbean level hit to start a new franchise.
Dwayne Johnson released a video for the announcement, with a sweet personal anecdote and a mini trailer.
