One of the many films held up by the ongoing Hollywood actors’ strike ā which remains unresolved ā is the planned biopic of Michael Jackson. The life story of the singer, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, is set to be directed by Antoine Fuqua (who’s enjoyed another hit this year with the Denzel Washington-headlined The Equalizer 3). Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King is involved with Michael, along with John Branca and John McClain (not that one) of the Michael Jackson Estate. Jaafar Jackson will be playing the lead role. At an absolute push, it could be ready for the end of 2024. Don’t hold us to that, though. Deadline
