Giant worms! Knives! Florence Pugh! There’s a lot going on in the new Dune Part Two trailer. More below…

Timothee Chalamet gave such a convincing performance as a bright-eyed young chocolatier in Wonka that it’s hard to imagine him as the prophesized space-messiah of Dune Part Two. But, after swapping release order to allow its starry cast to promote the sci-fi epic, Warner Bros. have given us another massive morsel of Arrakis-centred goodness to chew on in the form of another Dune trailer – this time with tongues (steady on).

Check out the new Dune Part Two trailer below:

Oh boy. We’re really rather excited for this one. Villeneuve bas been pretty open about Part Two's more action-centric credentials when compared to the first movie, and this third trailer certainly delivers on that promise. There’s a lot of exploding, a Fremen army stood on a Sand Worm, and Timothe Chalamet tells Zendaya he loves her. Proper big blockbuster-y stuff.

Oh, and we’ve seen Austin Butler’s young Harkonen in colour for the first time. He’s licking a knife, an activity we cannot recommend. In classic movie language, though, we reckon it means he’s a wrong-un.

Dune Part Two arrives in cinemas on the 1st of March 2024. It’s also one of our most-anticipated films of the year. If that doesn’t get you excited, we don’t know what will.
