The ghost with the most is back in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Here’s the final trailer for the Tim Burton-directed sequel, starring Michael Keaton.

After a brief teaser trailer in March, Warner Bros. released a full trailer for upcoming sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in May. And now, in July, we get the final trailer too. This one, in fact…

Michael Keaton returns to reprise his role as the titular trickster and Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara also return to play Lydia and Delia Deetz. Joining them are new faces Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter Astrid, Justin Theroux as Lydia’s husband and Monica Bellucci as Delores, who is looking for Beetlejuice. I’m sure she only wants to say a friendly hello to him, nothing else.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is heading into cinemas 6th September.

Take a look at the trailer from May below too…

Our original story follows…

22nd March, 2024: It’s been over 30 years, but finally Michael Keaton is back where he belongs – in a pinstriped suit in the middle of a Tim Burton film. The 1988 original Beetlejuice, which also starred Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin, quickly grew into a cult favourite, full of Burton’s trademark dark humour and memorable scenes like the dinner party guests being made to dance to Harry Belafonte’s Day-O (The Banana Boat Song).

Of course, had things turned out differently, we could have had a very different sequel in the 1990s, which had the working title Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian. For a variety of reasons, that film never made it to production – we wrote about it in detail here.

The official synopsis for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, meanwhile, reads as follows:

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Keaton returns to his iconic role as the title character, alongside returning stars Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz, New cast members include Jenna Ortega as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe and Arthur Conti in his feature film debut.

Burton directs from a screenplay by Wednesday showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who wrote the story with Seth Grahame-Smith.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will be released in cinemas on 6th September.
