Cliff Richard will Move It into cinemas with his Blue Sapphire Tour, which is arriving in November. More details here.

Cliff Richard is no stranger to the silver screen, having headlined a string of successful films in the 1960s, including The Young Ones, Summer Holiday and Wonderful Life. He’s not been a regular near the silver screen for quite some time, though, but if you’re looking to catch up on some cinematic Cliff Richard action, there’s some good news.

For two nights only later this month, Sir Cliff is bringing his Blue Sapphire Tour to cinemas. The show is set to include many of his biggest hits including Move It, Wired For Sound and Saviour’s Day.

The film will also include bonus content exclusive to cinemas. Exactly what this will include (beyond the popcorn, hotdogs and over-priced M&Ms you can buy from the cinema lobby) isn’t currently clear.

Pop stars of all ages are having quite a moment in cinemas of late. Taylor Swift’s Eras tour movie has both broken ticket sales records and left some cinema-goers disgruntled at Swifties’ over-enthusiasm during screenings.

Perhaps inspired by Swift’s success, Billy Idol also has a concert film appearing in cinemas (for one night only!) this month. In it, the rocker performs to a select group of fans at the top of a hydroelectric dam.

Then there’s Kevin Bridges, who’s also appearing in cinemas this November. No, he isn’t a pop star, but you never know – he might sing a song or hum the theme tune from The Bill as part of his routine. Or something.

Cliff Richard: The Blue Sapphire Tour will be in cinemas on the 25th and 26th November. You can find your nearest cinema here.

In the meantime, take a look at the trailer, right here…
