Daisy Edgar-Jones will star in the announced sequel to Twister, that’s going by the name of Twisters.

It’s been quite the year for Daisy Edgar-Jones. Genre fans flocked to Fresh, while she also received critical acclaim for her performance in Where The Crawdads Sing.

Twisters will be Jones’ first foray into the world of big budget studio films, and it’s quite a gig to land. Minari director Lee Isaac Chung is directing from a script by Mark L. Smith, whose writing impressed Steven Spielberg so much, the film was fast tracked into production, with regular collaborator Frank Marshall producing.

The original, starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt, grossed just shy of $500 million at the box office. Paxton very sadly passed away in 2017. There is no word yet on whether Hunt will reprise her role.
