Steven Spielberg has promised there are plenty of surprises in Disclosure Day that the trailers haven’t shown.
A very strong argument could be made for trailers showing far too much of the movie these days. In fact, I made that exact argument with Project Hail Mary just last month.
Thankfully, there are still directors like Steven Spielberg, who are keen on keeping some things a secret until the movie is actually out. His new movie Disclosure Day is certainly still a bit of a mystery.
Debuting a new trailer at CinemaCon – one that us regular folk have to wait for still – Spielberg promised that none of the trailers have any footage from the film’s third act.
The news comes via the CinemaCon official X account and Bloody Disgusting reports that Spielberg was teasing the audience aplenty.
“I really truly believe that this movie is going to answer questions and cause you to ask a lot of questions,” Spielberg told the crowd.
“All you need to get from the beginning to the end (of this movie) is a seatbelt,” the Jurassic Park director promised.
Spielberg has kept Disclosure Day under tight wraps and we still know very little about the film. Our very own Ryan Lambie has suspicions that it could be a secret Close Encounters Of The Third Kind sequel.
Here’s the official synopsis: If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to Disclosure Day.
We’ll leave you with the film’s previous trailer while we wait for the new one to appear online.
