Disney’s 1950 take on Cinderella is getting a surprise 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release this July: more on the release here.
Disney has been quiet on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray front for a while now, when it comes to its catalogue of animated movies. In fact the last Disney animated film, Strange World, skipped the format altogether following its disappointing box office returns.
However, in what hopefully is the start of a refreshed commitment to 4K discs, the studio will be releasing the animated movie Cinderella on UHD disc this summer. The film has been earmarked for July 3rd 2023 in the UK, and the package will include a Blu-ray disc as well that brings over previous extra features.
