Dwayne Johnson and Lucy Liu will headline a Christmas-set action film Red One, and here are the first details.
It seems that action films set at Christmas are becoming their own subgenre. Aside from the obvious examples of Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, this year sees the release of Santa Claus beat ’em up Violent Night, the trailer of which was released earlier this week.
Now, news of another festive fight fest has emerged. Red One will see Dwayne Johnson, Lucy Liu, Chris Evans and Kiernan Shipka embark on a globetrotting adventure, the exact details of which are being kept under wraps for now.
Johnson is reteaming with Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle director Jake Kasdan, who will work from a screenplay by long time Fast and Furious scribe Chris Morgan.
There are no dates for this one, though we do know it will be released via Amazon Prime.
