Netflix has released the trailer for the follow-up to 2020’s entertaining Enola Holmes. The original film proved to be quite the hit for Netflix, capitalising on the wave of general appreciation for the film’s stars, Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill. Both of whom, of course, also have their own popular Netflix series in the form of Stranger Things and The Witcher respectively.
With the first film clearly landing well with audiences, doing strong numbers and eventually overcoming the rights issues that dogged its production, a sequel was duly fast tracked by Netflix. With the return of Brown, Cavill and director, Harry Bradbeer and writer Jack Thorne, Netflix will be hoping that the sequel will repeat the magic, with the film finding the junior Holmes working as a detective-for-hire, just like her famous older brother.
A synopsis for the upcoming film states: ‘Enola’s newest adventure begins after a young girl working in a match factory hires her to locate her missing sister. Before long, Enola finds herself drawn into a high-stakes chase across London, journeying from the city’s seedy industrial underbelly to the glitzy galas of high society.’
The film is set to be released by Netflix on the 4th of November. You can catch the trailer below. — Thank you for visiting!
