Michael B Jordan stars in and directs Creed III, that’s heading to cinemas in March: here’s the final trailer.
MGM has revealed the final trailer for Creed III, which is due to make its walk to the ring on March 3rd, just a couple of weeks from now.
The film will once again star Michael B Jordan as Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, the great friend and rival of Rocky Balboa. Although the character of Balboa – Sylvester Stallone’s iconic creation – won’t be appearing in this film, Jordan is following in the footsteps of Stallone by stepping up to to the director’s chair whilst also playing the title character.
Alongside Jordan, the film was scripted by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin, based on a story treatment by Ryan Coogler, director of the first Creed film. Jonathan Majors, who is also currently appearing on cinema screens as the MCU’s new big bad, plays Creed’s nemesis, Damian Anderson.
Two other key characters from the series will return, in the form of Tessa Thompson as Adonis’ girlfriend Bianca, and Phylicia Rashad as his stepmother Mary Anne. Boxing legend Canelo Alvarez is set to appear too. The film itself looks set to explore a chapter of Adonis’ past that comes back to haunt him.
