Pixar’s next original film is Elio, and here’s the first trailer, that’s likely to be playing before Elemental screenings.
Disney and Pixar’s latest film is Elemental, set in a world of anthropomorphic elements, with Carl’s Date, a short sequel to Up playing in front of it. That is set to hit UK cinemas on the 7th July.
Their next film will be Elio. The synopsis reads as follows:
Eleven-year-old dreamer Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) is artistic, creative, and an avid indoorsman who finds it hard to fit in. Meanwhile, Mom Olga, who runs a top-secret military project, is working to decode a strange alien signal from outer space. But it’s Elio who makes contact, gets beamed into space and is subsequently mistaken for an intergalactic Ambassador for Earth in this original animated adventure.
America Ferrera is also in the voice cast.
Adrian Molina, co-director of Coco, makes his solo directorial debut, the screenplay credits have not yet been finalized.
The plan is to have Elio in cinemas on the 1st March 2024.
