This upcoming body possession horror Talk To Me has been causing quite a stir as A24 ramps up its marketing machine ahead of a release next month.

If you weren’t overly impressed by the first trailer for the upcoming A24 horror Talk to Me, you aren’t the only one. However, it’s much better to be left nonplussed by the trailer and gratified by the film than the other way round. And ever since A24 paid a handsome seven figure fee for Talk to Me back at Sundance, positive buzz has continued to circle the film.

We now have a second trailer to check out ahead of the film’s release next month and it’s a marked improvement on the first one.

Given the positive reception the film has been acquiring at festivals since Sundance, A24 will be hoping that Talk To Me will join its collection of horror films that have garnered critical and commercial success such as Midsommar, Hereditary and X.

Given the very disappointing financial returns that the studio saw from the recently released Beau Is Afraid, a film which at $35m was a very expensive outlay for A24, hopes will be high that the rest of its 2023 slate can make some inroads into the losses from Ari Aster’s departure from horror.

Talk To Me is helmed by Australian brothers Danny and Michael Philippou. It’s a tale that ‘begins when friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. They become hooked on the new thrill until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.’

The film is set to release in the UK on July 28th. Here’s that new trailer.
