Get your clearest look yet at the upcoming action blockbuster from Marvel Studios with the Shang-Chi trailer.
The mighty Marvel machine is rolling back into action after an enforced hiatus of a couple of years. Not only do we get the solo Black Widow film next month, but September brings us Shang-Chi And The Legend of the Ten Rings. The full trailer for the upcoming film has been released, and it has more of a mystical bent to it than previous footage that we’ve seen.
Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh star in this adaptation which will be followed quickly by Chloe Zao’s The Eternals in November. Destin Daniel Cretton directed the film, which promises to open up a new dimension to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Whilst Shang-Chi may not be an instantly recognisable character to many, critics have pre-emptively written off Marvel Studios several times in the past for using lesser-known properties to further the MCU, but pretty much every time they’ve been made to eat their own words when the films have released to wide acclaim. We’ll see in September whether the studio have managed pull that trick off again.
