John Boyega will star in sci fi romance The Freshening, and here are the first details of the upcoming film.
While John Boyega and Joe Cornish continue to develop the screenplay for the long awaited Attack the Block 2, in the meantime Boyega has set his next acting role.
The Freshening is a sci-fi romance set in a world dominated by a public health initiative called ‘The Freshening’, whereby people can only see people of their own race and gender. Sam and Reese discover a drug that temporarily reverses the effects.
Boyega is the only confirmed cast member so far.
Birds Of Prey director Cathy Yan will direct, with the film being adapted from a short story by Rachel Khong.
Filming is due to get underway later this year, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
