The second full trailer for M Night Shyamalan’s Knock At The Cabin has been released, and it lands in UK cinemas next month.

M Night Shyamalan, it’s fair to say, doesn’t disappoint when it comes to intriguing premises. From the twisty superhero stories of Unbreakable, Split and Glass to the mysterious ageing beach in Old, Shyamalan continues to surprise in an era where there is otherwise a dearth of mid budget films and an abundance of franchises.

Knock At The Cabin, then, is a return to his roots. A high concept premise – based on Paul Tremblay’s novel – shrouded in secrecy.

The synopsis for the film reads as follows:

While vacationing out at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

Dave Bautista headlines the film as the leader of the gang, alongside Rupert Grint, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird , Abby Quinn and newcomer Kristen Cui.

Shyamalan directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman, based on the novel The Cabin At The End Of The World by Paul Tremblay.

Knock At The Cabin will be released in UK cinemas on the 3rd February 2023. Watch the new trailer below…
