Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie will be making the next two Mission: Impossible sequels at least in part in the UK.
More big blockbuster movies are heading to the United Kingdom, with the news that the upcoming pair of Mission: Impossible sequels will be shooting in the UK next year.
It’s not the first time the franchise has been on these shores, of course. Far from it, in fact. The plan with Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 is to film the two new movies back to back, and the UK will be a base for both of them.
Christopher McQuarrie, who’s helmed the last two films in the franchise, is returning to write and direct these next two as well. And of course Tom Cruise will be reprising the role of Ethan Hunt, in an ensemble cast that’s also expected to see Rebecca Ferguson and Simon Pegg returning as well. Hayley Atwell is set to join the cast.
Mission: Impossible 7 is set to be released in cinemas on 23rd July 2021, and the eighth chapter in the series will follow the summer after. More as we hear it…
