Ryan Reynolds to star in Clue remake

A remake of the hit 1985 film Clue will star Ryan Reynolds, and a writer is attached to the project…

The original Clue might just be one of the most delightful comedies ever made. Jonathan Lynn directed a cast that includes the great Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, Madeline Kahn and Lesley Ann Warren, as the screwball farce builds and builds towards three separate endings.

Ryan Reynolds will star in the new version, with The Muppets’ James Bobin set to direct. Deadpool’s Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Reynolds regular collaborators, penned the first draft of the screenplay, but now Oren Uziel is rewriting their script. Uziel scored a huge hit earlier this year, co-writing The Lost City, which grossed over $190 million.

This is the first update on the film in a couple of years, and there is no concrete timeline for getting this one in front of the cameras, but we’ll keep you updated.
