Netflix has released a new promotional video from the set of Stranger Things season 5. Take a look below.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things is slowly but surely taking shape at Netflix. It’s been a good few years since we last visited Hawkins, Indiana and the wait is not over yet, but filming of the final season has reached the halfway point.

Netflix has released a neat behind-the-scenes video from the set of Stranger Things season 5. In the video, the show’s cast promise the new season will be “worth the wait”.

You can find the video linked below.

Netflix released season 1 of Stranger Things all the way back in 2016. In the video, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, notes that she was 10 years old when she got the job and she’s just turned 20. Oh, how time flies.

The video also confirms that director Frank Darabont is returning to direct at least one episode of the final season. Darabont previously said he’s retired from directing but we reported in December 2023 that he was rumoured to be making a return with Stranger Things.

Prey director Dan Trachtenberg is also helming an episode for the final season, which will find the core characters facing their toughest battle yet as they confront Vecna and his army. Netflix hasn’t given Stranger Things season 5 a release date yet, but we can expect the series to conclude in 2025.
