The first teaser trailer for Ted Lasso season 4 has found its way online and we finally have a release date.
There was a time we thought we were done with Jason Sudeikis’ endearing football coach Ted Lasso, but that time is far behind us now. AppleTV+ originally wrapped up Ted Lasso with its third season in 2023, but surprised the world by bringing it back for season 4 again.
We’ve been eagerly waiting for more news on the new season and there’s finally not just a release date, but a trailer.

I don’t know about you, but I think it looks just as charming as the previous seasons, which is a big relief. And, naturally, they squeezed in someone calling Ted “a wanker” and we now also know the meaning of ASAPPP.
Naturally, Sudeikis is back as our favourite football coach but so are Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Juno Temple and Brendan Hunt. They’re also joined by Tanya Reynolds and Faye Marsay and Grant Feely is taking over the role of Ted’s son, Henry.
Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Toheeb Jimoh are missing from the trailer, but who knows what surprises await us when we return to the AFC Richmond locker rooms.
Here’s a brief official synopsis for the new season: In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
It’s nice to see the women’s team take the centre stage in the new season, which premieres on 5th August on AppleTV+. Episodes will be released weekly with the finale airing on 7th October.
