We’ll be dining at The Bear again soon as the hit TV show, starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri gets renewed for season 3.
This is the day we’ve all been waiting for. No, Moonfall still doesn’t have a sequel, but The Bear does have a third season on the horizon.
The wildly popular TV show, centred on chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto as he works to transform his late brother’s old sandwich joint into a high-end restaurant at the heart of Chicago, has been a hit with audiences and critics alike.
“’The Bear,’ which wowed audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment. “We’re so proud to partner with Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, and the rest of the creative team, as well as the brilliant cast led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. What they and the crew have done is truly remarkable, and we and our partners at Hulu and Disney+ join fans in looking forward to the next chapter in the story of ‘The Bear.’”
Season 1 is currently up for a whopping 13 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series as well as acting nominations for Allen-White, Edebiri as well as Jon Bernthal and Oliver Platt and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

The show’s second season, which debuted on Disney+ in the UK earlier this year, was well received. Particular highlights of the season were episode 6, titled ‘Fishes’ which focused on a particularly chaotic Christmas at the Berzatto house and ‘Forks’ which saw Moss-Bachrach’s Richie learning to expedite at a fancy restaurant.
An omelette made by Edebiri’s Sidney also went viral online with fans attempting to recreate the creamy omelette filled with Bursin cheese and topped with crushed sour cream and onion crisps.
Plot details for season 3 are non-existent at the moment, but The Bear has always excelled at capturing, in detail, the hectic work pace of professional kitchens and hospitality and mixing it with a special focus on male mental health so I’m sure we can expect more of that in the upcoming season.
There’s no solid release date yet, but season 3 is expected to be available to stream in 2024. When we know more about The Bear season 3, we’ll let you know. Now, excuse me, I’m suddenly craving an omelette.
