Yes, chef! The Bear has reportedly been renewed for season 4 which will film back to back with season 3. More details below.
Since last July, there has been a The Bear sized hole in our lives ever since the hit TV show ended its second season on a bang as Carmy’s dream restaurant finally opened its doors.
It’s been a long wait for season 3, but that wait is almost over as season 3 is scheduled to hit Hulu in the US in June, but here’s the twist. The Bear has been renewed for season 4 as well, as reported by Deadline.
Bear in mind – pun intended – that the news hasn’t been confirmed by FX Networks and they declined to comment for Deadline’s story. Sources have confirmed the news to several trade outlets, so we feel confident enough to publish this story.
News of season 3 reached us last November and we really shouldn’t be surprised the show has been renewed for another season. It’s been hugely popular, and sweeped almost every TV awards show this year.
The Bear season 4 will film back to back with season 3, which is currently filming in Chicago. It makes sense as most of the cast are in high demand. Ayo Edebiri has signed on for a new A24 horror film, Jeremy Allen White is just coming off of an acclaimed performance in The Iron Claw and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is getting ready to film Marvel’s Fantastic Four.
We also reported yesterday that Edebiri, who plays Chef Sydney in the show, will be making her directorial debut in the new season by helming an episode.
Plot details for season 3 remain scarce, but at the end of season 2, Marcus missed several calls from his mother’s nurse, which can’t mean good news. If you were to go looking for The Bear season 3 set photos, you could find those on the internet but we won’t be linking them here for spoiler-y reasons.
There’s also no specific date given for The Bear’s season 3 premiere, but June 2024 seems to be locked in. As for the UK, we tend to get it a little later, so July seems a probable release date for us, much like with season 2.
