We’ll finally find out if Carmy earns his Michelin star as The Bear season 5 heads to Disney+ this June.
Fans of The Bear were treated to a pleasant surprise when opening Disney+ on 5th May as a special spin-off episode was launched on the service. Titled Gary, the special was co-written and starring Ebon Moss-Bacharach and Jon Bernthal and follows their two characters before the events of The Bear’s main storyline.
But fans also won’t have to wait too long for more The Bear as the series’ final season will head to Disney+ on 26th June in the UK. All eight episodes will be available to stream at once and we’re sure it’s going to be an emotional finale as we say goodbye to these wonderful characters.
Here’s a proper synopsis for The Bear season 5: Premiering on June 25, the fifth and final season of FX’s “The Bear” picks up the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie and Natalie “Sugar” (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has quit the food industry, leaving the restaurant to them. With no money, the threat of a sale and a torrential storm in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping they’ll finally earn a Michelin star. Ultimately, they learn that what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.
There’s still no trailer for the fifth season, but one will surely follow soon enough. There is, however, a poster which you can see at the top of this page.
The Bear has been one of the most acclaimed series of the first few years and has won plenty of awards, very deservedly so. The series received some criticism for slowing down the pace in season 3 and 4, but the finale is now set to turn up the heat again as Jeremy Allen White’s Carmy weighs his options.
