4th December 2024: Here at Film Stories, we’ve been following the bizarre journey The Last Voyage Of The Demeter has been on. The movie didn’t get a proper cinema release here in the UK and only became available at online retailers in October 2024, over a year after the film debuted in US cinemas. If you attended FrightFest in August, you might have caught André Øvredal’s Dracula romp on the big screen, but otherwise, you were out of luck.

But at least you now have the option to watch the film at home on glorious 4K! The Last Voyage Of The Demeter has surprisingly shown up available to pre-order for release on 3rd February. You can get the film in the usual formats, including DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K and it comes with heaps of bonus features too.

Here’s a helpful list of those:

  • 4K Presentation from the Original Elements
  • Presented in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
  • Audio Commentary with Film Critic Meagan Navarro
  • Audio Commentary with Actor David Dastmalchian
  • Audio Commentary with Director Andre Ovredal and Producer Bradley J. Fischer
  • Interview with Folklorist & Author Karen Stollznow
  • Deleted Scenes
  • From The Pits of Hell: Dracula Reimagined
  • Evil is Aboard: The Making of The Last Voyage Of The Demeter
  • Dracula and the Digital Age: Featurette

You can pre-order the film here, if you so wish.

The film tracks, as you might have guessed, the final journey of the ship Demeter, which just happens to be carrying a certain Transylvanian vampire. Naturally, he gets a bit peckish during the long journey and starts eating the crew. Blood and chaos ensues.
