The fifth instalment in the horror franchise, Insidious: The Red Door returns the focus to the Lambert family – here’s the trailer.

The movie, which will tie up the Lambert’s story, is also directed by Patrick Wilson in his directorial debut. Wilson is also returning to play Josh Lambert, alongside Rose Byrne as Renai Lambert and Ty Simpkins as their troubled child (now a teenager), Dalton.

Insidious: The Red Door returns to the Lambert family ten years after the events of the first two films. The family have tried to move on, and Dalton is seemingly blissfully ignorant of what really happened to him as a child. However, after his dad drops him off at college, his repressed memories return to haunt him and his family.

The screenplay is written by Scott Teems, and is based on a story by series creator and The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell.

Here’s the trailer. Insidious: The Red Door will be released in cinemas on 7th July.
