Based on the bestselling book, The Stranger In Our Bed will arrive in the UK in September: here’s the first trailer.
Looking to capture the same kind of audience who enjoyed The Girl On The Train, the latest adaptation of a bestselling book of similar ilk is The Stranger In Our Bed.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
Charlotte is feeling trapped in her marriage to a wealthy and controlling husband. She begins an affair with another man, who one day mysteriously disappears without a trace. Behind her husband’s back, she secretly begins an investigation into his disappearance, teaming up with her lover’s sister to uncover the truth behind what happened. It quickly becomes clear that nothing is at it seems, and after becoming witnesses to a murder, the two become entangled in a dark and twisted game of cat-and-mouse. With the bodies piling up, Charlotte must uncover what’s really going on – before it’s too late.
Emily Berrington stars as Charlotte, alongside Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Joseph Marcell, Nina Wadia, Andi Osho, Terri Dwyer and Samantha Bond.
Giles Alderson directs from a screenplay by Samantha Lee Howe, who adapts her own novel.
The Stranger In Our Bed arrives on digital platforms in the UK on the 5th September. Watch the trailer below:
