Signature Entertainment have nabbed the UK rights for Moritz Mohr’s Boy Kills World, which is in UK cinemas in April. More on the film below.

Bill Skarsgård has seemingly dedicated 2024 to roles that push him to be increasingly nutty with each passing film. The Pennywise actor is set to appear in both Boy Kills World, Nosferatu and The Crow this year, all of which look positively deranged.

When the first trailer for Boy Kills World punched its way online last month, we weren’t quite sure when the film would make its UK debut. The US was confirmed to get the film on their screens on the 26th April, but no one had the UK rights secured.

As reported by Screen Daily, though, Signature Entertainment has acquired the rights to the Sam Raimi produced action flick. And what’s more, it’ll be bringing the film in UK cinemas on the 26th April, same as the US. Happy days!

The film follows Skarsgård’s character, simply named Boy, who sets out to avenge the death of his family. The twist? Boy is deaf and mute, although H Jon Benjamin provides Boy’s inner voice.

Here’s the trailer:

The cast is rounded out by Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Nicholas and Cameron Crovetti, Quinn Copeland, Andrew Koji, Sharlto Copley and Famke Janssen.

“We cannot wait to unleash Boy and his blistering action skills on UK and Irish audiences this spring,” said Signature Entertainment’s chief commercial officer Elizabeth Williams.

As for The Crow, Vanity Fair published a first look at Skarsgård as Eric Draven. That film should hit cinemas in June, after the John Wick spin-off Ballerina was delayed for what sounds like a quite extensive round of reshoots.

Catch Boy Kills World in UK cinemas on the 26th April.
