The film that was supposed to not exist, Coyote Vs Acme, opens fully in UK and US cinemas this weekend, after previews taking place over here last week. It’s a joyous movie, that as pretty much everybody seems to have noticed is about a corporate monolith trying to bury things. Just a cursory glance at the path Coyote Vs Acme has trodden over the last three and a bit years demonstrates just how, well, life occasionally has a habit of very much imitating art.

Distributed now in the UK by Altitude, the crucial factors here are a) the film actually exists despite efforts to the contrary, and b) that it’s actually brilliant. Comfortably the funniest film of the year for me, and it’s going to take a fair bit of beating there.

Altitude is also, to its credit, supporting the film with a proper physical media release as well. The movie will be arriving on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray here in the UK on 9th November 2026, and it’s already up for order. You can find it right here.

(Although I’d still recommend a cinema trip. It’s worth it.)

No idea as of yet if there’ll be much in the way of additional material on the disc, but would treat any that appears as a welcome surprise. The 4K disc in itself feels like a minor miracle after the last few years.

Tired from decades of being blown up by explosive ACME products whilst in pursuit of the uncatchable Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote teams up with lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte) to fight back in COYOTE VS. ACME.

But ACME has its own powerhouse defense attorney in Kevin’s slick nemesis Buddy Crane (John Cena), who is determined to silence Wile E. and Kevin. Wile E. and Kevin embark on a wild quest for justice that’s as thrilling and physics-defying as Wile E.’s lifelong chase for the ever-speedy Road Runner.
