The follow-up to Ghostbusters: Afterlife has begun production, and it’s been filming in the UK as more cast are confirmed: details here.
Cameras are now rolling on the fifth Ghostbusters film, and shooting has been taking place in the UK over the last few days. A franchise rooted in the US, it’s a first venture onto British soil for it, and the thus-far unnamed feature has been filming sequences in the UK, ahead of the rest of its shoot in the Tates.
Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman have penned the script for Ghostbusters 5, following the success of their collaboration on Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace and Paul Rudd are returning from the last film, and new additions confirmed last week include Emily Alyn Lind, Patton Oswalt, Kamil Nanjiani and James Acaster.
The film has quite a tight turnaround, with Sony inking in a release of December 20th 2023. As we hear more on the film, we’ll let you know…
