Jason Statham and Hannah Waddingham lead the cast of Jason Statham Stole My Bike, and more details are right here.
Unsurprisingly to those who have followed some of the personnel involved in Film Stories, the upcoming action comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike is very high on the list of want-to-see projects here.
First announced earlier this year, the movie is being directed by David Leitch (who worked with The Statham on the mechanical Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw). Stath plays Jason Statham, going a bit Being John Malovich here, and Iโm going to suggest the plot involves a bicycle at some stage.
Apparently, it was Jason Statham who suggested that Leitch might be right for the project.
Filming has been underway in Malta for a week or two on the movie (with a London element to the surprisingly brief production as well), and casting-wise, news has now dropped that Hannah Waddingham has joined the ensemble. Sheโs previously worked with David Leitch too, on the massively underappreciated The Fall Guy.
Jason Statham Stole My Bike has been penned by Alison Flierl, and the idea is that the film will, disappointingly, be PG-13. Appreciating you can get away with quite a lot in a PG-13 in the modern day. The story was worked out by Alison Flierl, Scott Chernoff, Kelly McCormick and David Leitch.
The idea is to have the film out in cinemas next year (a release date of 6th August has been announced so far), appreciating that as soon as production has wrapped, Leitch will be hot-footing it on the promotional tour for his already-wrapped movie How To Rob A Bank, due out this autumn.
Thus far, more details of Jason Statham Stole My Bike remain relatively under wraps, it should be noted. Iโm sure the cast will have more than two people in it, even if itโs just us in the background trying to crash the set. More details only, it seems, when they want to give them to us.
In the meantime, weโve got the already-shot Stath projects The Beekeeper 2 and Viva La Madness to look forward to as wellโฆ
