The new Mean Girls is coming to physical media in the UK in April, on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. More here.

Given that the original 2004 take on Mean Girls is coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK shortly, it’s not the biggest surprise in the world that the 2024 take on the same story is also on its way.

Mean Girls 2024 – the version of the film that’s a musical but don’t tell anybody it’s a musical because that wouldn’t be on – was originally intended to be a Paramount+ straight to streaming film. Good test screening results saw it upgraded to a cinema release, and the resultant movie has grossed over $100m at the global box office.

Not bad at all for a definitely not a musical.

Now comes the home formats release, and in the UK, we’re getting the new Mean Girls on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.

It’s arriving in the UK on 29th April 2024, and you can find more information on the release – and order a copy – right here.

In terms of extra features, there’s quite a lot of them, but it depends what version of the film you buy. The DVD? Not much. The Blu-ray and 4K discs? Well, you get everything. As per the press release, everything with a double asterisk – definitely not copied and pasted this list – is exclusive to the Blu-ray and 4K.
