Paramount Pictures, which just announced it’s focusing on mid-budget movies, has set release dates for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 and Paw Patrol 3

A sequel to Jeff Rowe’s excellent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was in the works before the film was even released, but Paramount has now given the animated turtle sequel a release date.

We can expect to see Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo back on the big screen on 9th October 2026, as reported by The Wrap. Rowe is returning to helm the sequel.

A new animated series is also premiering this year on Paramount+ with the teenage turtles taking centre stage. Titled Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the series will see the film’s voice cast reprise their roles this summer, with a release date yet to be announced.

Paw Patrol 3 will grace our screens a little earlier with a release date of 31st July, 2026. These are US release dates, but the UK probably won’t have to wait too long for them.

Paw Patrol 3 was announced back in September and the announcement made our editor Simon Brew very happy, although he was a little disappointed the film won’t be called The Search For Spock. Cal Brunker is returning to complete his trilogy of puppy rescuers.

Both previous Paw Patrol films were rather successful. Mutant Mayhem grossed $180.5 million against a budget of $70 million while Paw Patrol 2, a sequel to 2021’s Paw Patrol Movie, took home $202 million against a budget of just $30 million.

Both film series also thrive on merchandise. Based on existing franchises, Paramount can really cash in on a variety of toys and other goods, making the films even more profitable.

We spoke to Rowe at the time of Mutant Mayhem’s release on home media, and he had this to say about the upcoming sequel: “On some level it’s like, ‘oh boy’. It’s a lot. But I think we have a chance to make a really big film. I think, based on people’s warm reaction to this movie, which I think will grow over the next few years, by the time the sequel is coming out, if we do a good job with it, I think that could be a huge film box office wise and a great film, storytelling and filmmaking wise.”

More on both sequels as we hear it.
