Quentin Tarantino’s tenth and final film will be The Movie Critic, and here are the first details of the new movie. Quentin Tarantino hasn’t made a film in four years, since 2019’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Recently, he has focused on prose, publishing a novelization of the aforementioned film in 2021 and a collection of film criticism entitled Cinema Speculation in 2022. He’s also launched a podcast exploring the history of film. Heck, who would do something like that? We now have the first details of what he claims will be his final film, though so far we only know the title – The Movie Critic – which Tarantino wrote and is preparing to shoot later this year. Though plot details are bring kept strictly under wraps, sources claim that the film is set in 1970s Los Angeles with a female lead who is possibly inspired by Pauline Kael, a notorious and influential film critic, essayist and novelist who worked at Paramount in the 1970s at the behest of Warren Beatty. Tarantino has previously expressed his respect for her, appearing in the 2018 documentary What She Said: The Art of Pauline Kael. We’ll keep you updated as we hear more. No casting or official confirmation has been forthcoming thus far. THR
