Rocky IV director’s cut is getting a UK cinema release

The extended cut of Rocky IV will be getting a cinema release in the UK we’ve learned – and here’s the trailer too. Just on the off chance your week was a little on the miserable side so far, let us try and shine a great big beam of light into it. It’s been well known for a while now that Sylvester Stallone has been recutting his mid-80s classic – yep, classic – Rocky IV, for an extended director’s cut. Notwithstanding the questionable decision to remove 80s robot from the new version of the film, Stallone has put a whole lot more footage into the movie, which is being released later this year as Rocky IV: Rocky Vs Drago – The Ultimate Director’s Cut. We knew that the film was going to be getting a cinema release in the US before heading on demand. But what we’ve now discovered is the fine people at Park Circus will be releasing the movie in cinemas in the UK as well. Rocky IV! Back on the big screen! With more of it! The date to mark in your diaries is November 19th, and in our diaries it is very much marked.
