Superman, Superman II (both cuts), Superman III and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace are all heading to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
And about time too. Warner Bros, as part of its ongoing celebration of its 100th anniversary, will be releasing the first four Superman films on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. Thus far, only one of them has made it to the format, and even then not in particularly good nick. What’s happening now is that that all four of the films are getting brand new 4K transfers, including a do-over for the original Superman: The Movie.
What’s more, not only is Superman IV: The Quest For Peace getting the treatment too, but we’re getting two different cuts of Superman II (both presented in 4K), and the film with the robot woman of childhood nightmares, Superman III.
You’ve got options here too. A full set of all the films will be available, plus a Steelbook of them all. Or you can buy the movies individually.
They all hit on April 17th 2023, and these are the ones listed so far (will update when the others come in), and click on any of the links to find out more…
