BBC’s hit competition show The Traitors is set to return for season 3 to our screens at the start of 2025. Find more details below.
If you’re looking to start your 2025 right, we’ve got some exciting news for you. The Traitors, a deliciously addictive reality competition show, is set to return for its third season from 1st January.
In case you’re not familiar with the premise, The Traitors throws a group of people into a Scottish castle. Some of the competitors become the titular Traitors who try to get the Faithfuls eliminated in order to win a very handsome cash prize up to £120, 000.
Similarly, the rest of the group, the Faithfuls, are trying to figure out who the traitors are and get rid of them. The format is based on a Dutch TV show De Verraders, but the British version has found great fame and spawned several other versions all around the world.
There’s a mysterious new teaser to go with the release date announcement. Take a look at that below:
BBC recently also confirmed that a celebrity version was on the way. No cast has been announced officially, but rumoured contestants include Alan Carr, Jennifer Saunders and Clare Balding. We’d take such rumours with a pinch of salt until the celebrity contestants are officially announced.
The Traitors series 3 will air on BBC One as well as iPlayer every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The first two episodes will air at 8pm, but from episode 3 onwards, you can catch the series at 9pm on those nights.
