Bob Marley biopic One Love will be released in 2024, and the first trailer for the film has landed: see it right here.

Bob Marley has been the focus of several documentaries, perhaps most notably Kevin Macdonald’s 2012 film Marley. Lee Hall’s stage musical Get Up, Stand Up!, which was written around Marley’s songs, played in London’s West End for over a year, it was inevitable that a big screen biopic would emerge eventually.

The synopsis for One Love reads as follows:

One man. One message. One revolution. One legend. Bob Marley: One Love celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.

Kingsley Ben-Adir stars as Marley, with Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita. The cast is completed by Sundra Oakley, Anthony Welsh, Tosin Cole, Umi Myers, James Norton, and Michael Gandolfini.

Reinaldo Marcus Green directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Zach Baylin, Frank E. Flowers, and Terence Winter.

One Love will be released in 2024. Watch the teaser trailer below…
