Waterworld is getting a fresh 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, in a new limited edition deluxe set: more details right here.
We’ve already seen the 1995 box office hit Waterworld on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format, courtesy of a fairly straightforward release from Universal. However, it seems that Arrow now has the rights to upgrade its existing, excellent collectors’ set of the film to the 4K format too.
This is the set, if you’re not familiar with it, that brings together three different cuts of the movie: the theatrical edition, the extended television cut, and the ‘Ulysses’ cut, an extended European version of the film.
Only the theatrical version is presented in 4K though, with the other two cuts in 1080p. But still, it’s a smashing set, with some excellent extra features as well.
