Last year, I had the pleasure of attending Brian Blessed’s one night show when it came to the West Midlands. Granted, you probably could have heard it from your front room – “I was nearly late, I had to clean up some animal shit” was his opening gambit – but the evening turned into a surprisingly tender and quite wonderful collection of stories.
Sure, he’d told some before, but Blessed is such an engaging storyteller. I’d also hugely recommended the audiobook of his memoir. It’s as much fun as you’d hope.
Now, I’ve been alerted to the fact that the great man has launched his own merchandise line, selling his movie-related wares. Specifically, a bunch of Brian Blessed T-Shirts, inspired primarily by his legendary appearance in Flash Gordon.
