This’ll go down well – there’s a new take on Face/Off on the way.
Here’s some cheery news about what’s clearly an entirely necessary remake, that the world had been crying out for: there’s a new take on Face/Off on the way.
The original, as if we have to remind you, starred John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, with John Woo at the helm. A solid box office hit back in 1997, the powers that be have decided the world needs another take on the same material. And it looks like that’s just what the world is going to get.
Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street, The Cloverfield Paradox) has been hired to pen a screenplay for the new film, that’s been set up at Paramount by producer Neal Moritz. The film will involve a brand new cast, with nobody involved in the original expected to return. A mystery, that.
No word yet on who’s going to step into the shoes of John Woo on this one, but heck, do they have a job to measure up to. We’ll keep you posted with utmost enthusiasm as we hear more on this clearly very wise project.
