Fall 2, sequel to 2022’s surprise hit Fall, has revealed its cast and when we should be expecting to see it.
It’s been a good while since we’ve had any news on Fall 2. The first film saw two women trapped on top of an old TV tower and menaced by peckish birds of prey. After the thriller became an unexpected hit, especially after it debuted on streaming, two sequels were greenlit in 2023.
In 2024, Peter and Michael Spierig were announced as directors, but otherwise, news on the project has been scarce. Until now at least.
Bloody Disgusting reports that the sequel finished shooting in Thailand earlier this year and is heading to screens in early 2026. No firm date has been set yet, but Lionsgate is handling matters on that side.
Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas and Tom Brittney will star as the latest set of people stuck high up in the air, confronting their fears and past traumas.
Here’s a synopsis:
Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.
“We are delighted to be working with the extremely talented Spierig brothers and this incredibly dynamic cast to introduce the next chapter in the Fall franchise,” producer James Harris praised. “With Michael and Peter’s vision we hope to bring a bigger and even more vertigo inducing experience to audiences.”

“We were huge fans of the first film and couldn’t wait to continue the journey,” the Spierig brothers said. “Our aim was to capture the same intensity that Scott Mann and his team established in the original, while adding new, layered characters who will connect with audiences as they endure extreme and terrifying heights.”
The writers of the original Fall, Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank, have returned to pen the script for Fall 2. Mann, who also directed Fall, is set to also return for Fall 3 as both director and writer.
Among their earlier work, the Spierigs previously directed Predestination, a knotty sci-fi thriller starring Sarah Snook and Ethan Hawk. You really need to see it if you haven’t already.
