This 1950s-set psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling is just a couple of months away – and here’s the new trailer.
It’s coming on for a year since we last saw a peep of Don’t Worry Darling, the psychological thriller that will mark Olivia Wilde’s second directorial effort following 2019’s triumphant Booksmart. Wilde shared a teaser trailer for the film last September but news on the project has remained quiet since then. But, with the film set to release in September of this year, the full trailer has now landed.
Don’t Worry, Darling stars Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, and Gemma Chan. It’s a thriller set in an isolated desert community in 1950s California. The film has been written by Wilde’s regular writing partner, Katie Silberman and is set to be released by New Line Cinema and Vertigo Entertainment.
The film sets up the idealised notion of 1950s Americana, but promises something much more sinister underneath, with everything no doubt exacerbated by the fact that the story takes place in a desert community, separating its residents from the outside world. We can’t wait for this one and are eagerly counting down to that release date of September 23rd. In the meantime, you can catch the trailer below.
