The tale behind 1986’s Highlander is set to be told in a brand new book, that’s heading into stores in September – details here.
The 1986 movie Highlander brought together Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, under the eye of director Russell Mulcahy. It managed to lure Queen to do the music for the feature, and unbeknownst to everyone at the time, it’d end up launching both a run of, er, ‘sequels of variable quality’, as well as a hit TV show. Author Jonathan Melville though is now set to tell the story of the original movie. Of how a pair of American producers gambled on the movie, and what happened next. Melville has got Lambert and Clancy Brown amongst the 60 people involved with the film telling their story of it. And the book is up for preorder now, pending its release in September.
