Scream 5 will be with us in 2021, with production on the movie set to begin towards the end of this very summer.
Throughout the year, it’d been looking more and more likely that the fifth film in the Scream series of movies was coming together, nearly a decade after the last. And now, with distribution in place, it looks as though the jigsaw is complete.
Paramount Pictures has picked up the rights to distribute the movie, that’s been put together by Spyglass Media. Already in place are directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who made the sublime Ready Or Not. And the cast will see the return too of Neve Campbell and David Arquette to the franchise for a start.
The plan is to release the movie in 2021, with production now set to begin in late summer. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick have been putting the screenplay together.
