The Devil’s Hour season two is set to premiere on Prime Video this October as Lucy and Gideon form a wary alliance.

The Devil’s Hour is a bit of a hidden gem. Streaming on Prime Video, the first season of the series aired all the way back in 2022 without much fanfare, but there’s no time like the present to catch up on this supernatural thriller.

The series was quickly renewed for a second and third season and season two is finally upon us. Prime Video has announced that The Devil’s Hour season two will stream on the platform from 18th October.

Here’s a synopsis for the new season: The Devil’s Hour season two sees Lucy (Jessica Raine) and Gideon (Peter Capaldi) forming an uneasy alliance in order to prevent a recurring tragedy and hunt down an elusive monster. Lucy’s double life sees her torn between family and duty as she finds herself in the crosshairs of her past-life husband, DI Ravi Dhillon (Nikesh Patel). Assisting Dhillon in his investigation is DS Sam Boyd (Saffron Hocking) who was mentored by DI Lucy Chambers in a previous life.

Meanwhile, Isaac (Benjamin Chivers) is discovering new emotions every day and struggling to keep his balance in a reality that rejects his existence. Fresh mysteries unfold as our stories converge on one explosive moment that will change the fate of our characters for the rest of their ever-recurring lives.

Usual suspects, including Raine, Capaldi, Nikesh Patel, Phil Dunster and Meera Syal are back for another serving of The Devil’s Hour and will be joined by Saffron Hocking for season two. Tom Moran is in charge of scripts and is also credited as the creator of the series, while Johnny Allan and Shaun James Grant act as director. The Devil’s Hour counts Steven Moffat as one of its executive producers.

With season two coming to our screens sooner rather than later, it shouldn’t be too long of a wait for The Devil’s Hour season three. Filming for the season recently wrapped at Shepperton Studios, Hampshire, Surrey and Dartmoor.
