Edgar Wright’s The Running Man is coming to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray this March. More details here.
It might not have set the box office alight in quite the manner that was hoped, but Edgar Wright’s new take on Stephen King’s The Running Man still made its mark at the end of last year. Based on a King story he wrote under the name Richard Bachman, Wright’s movie was headlined by Glen Powell, and was a more serious, faithful adaptation that its 1987 forerunner (which, of course, starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.)
The new The Running Man is the kind of film I’d imagine will do perfectly well on home formats, and Paramount to its credit is going full out with the physical media release. Earmarked for 2nd March 2026, the film will be arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray as well.

No word as of yet on any extra features though, although we’d hope that there’s room for some given the standard of previous Edgar Wright disc releases. Keep an eye on the listings for details of those, and get fingers crossed.

In the near future, contestants of a deadly game show called The Running Man must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional hunters, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward.
